Our story
When we bring together our creativity with our production capabilities, pop-up-glamping units customized for each individual are created. They can be erected on their selected location within six to eight weeks. We are contractors with many years of experience and references in the field of making wooden outdoor constructions. We have combined our knowledge and experience to create unique tourist units, which follow the trends in tourism and living. Together with our customers, we form interesting stories and we add new contents to the living area. Each project is carefully designed from its initial concept which we then manage to make it come true, to the very last screw, to create unique and complete touristic stories. We design living areas that create new memories and adventures under the starry sky.
More than 50 years of experience
For over 50 years the company Mizarstvo Hrovat has been dealing with solid wood processing. Over many years we have gathered experience and knowledge that is reflected in the quality of our products. You can check the history of our company Mizarstvo Hrovat HERE. Today, the company specializes in the production of all kinds of wooden products for outdoor use. Among many of them you can find outdoor equipment for houses and gardens, the production of simple mobile units, the glamping programme and urban equipment for parks and footpaths. Our company’s mission is to satisfy our customer’s needs, and that is why we work only with the best quality materials. We often have to deal with the production of a whole range of outdoor equipment for a house, where with our team of co-workers we execute the project to its completion and ready to use (“turnkey”), including the metal and glass parts, roofing, sheet metal work and assembly. That is how we are able to equip the object with a wooden facade, garden shed, garden fence, wooden landing, pergola, garden furniture, raised garden beds, woodshed, … All of these are unique projects, from which we learn how to solve technical problems and the solutions we arrive at are the foundation of the quality development of new products.
As a family, we have been fans of camping and exploring new paths for many years. We have developed a kind of passion that connects innovative technical solutions made of wood, which are different from our existing production programme and different from the products offered by our competitors. These products combine a great deal of the primary concept. We realize the fact that being different means being noticed, but only if you offer something more – something that makes a product more beautiful, more functional and has more quality. We are aware of the fact that a product needs to be tested before it is put on the market. The consequences of testing are technical improvements, which cannot be foreseen, but at the same time are necessary before the actual use of the product. Of course, we make mistakes as does everybody else. It may happen that the solution does not do its job completely. That is when we close ourselves in a room in order to find a better solution. We see it as a challenge of saving the current situation and we use the acquired knowledge when we face similar problems again. In our opinion, every problem has its solution and every failure leads to success. Failure is only an intermediate state, which teaches us something new and useful. Every story ends with a succes and a part of this successful story could be you.
We are in a constant phase of exploring and optimizing new and already existing products and their production processes. The equipment for pop-up glamping is the path we want to walk on in the future. Materials, dimensions, airiness, isolation, design and other specifications of mobile wooden glamping objects are the fruit of experience that we have gained through the years until today. We have succesfully upgraded them and with the company Landscape we came up with a project that was the key to make our goal come true.
We see the future of our company in the production and improvement of our products which change the way of camping around the world. In the field of glamping equipment we see a chance for the constant and steady growth of our company where it is crucial to stay one step ahead of the competition.
The first prototype
The story began in 2009, when we introduced our first version of a glamping bungalow. It was a prototypical product, from which we learnt a lot. We were present at the fair “Camping Caravaning” in Ljubljana, at that time, where we offered the bungalow together with a basic model of the hot tub. The feedback was remarkable, but the product remained as a side product in our offer. Some time then passed, before we restarted marketing it. In this time, we were testing and watching the exhibit closely. We were checking how the heat insulation acted in summer and winter, how much energy and time was needed to warm it up to room temperature in the winter, how humidity and air temperature affected a certain number of people in the bungalow, how the air circulated when the window was open etc. We knew all these things before we sold the first bungalow. Meanwhile we also worked with hot tubs: from the basic model we created models made of Siberian larch, thermowood, tubs with plastic included, all in different sizes. Another product that is also ideal for pampering ourselves is an outdoor sauna. We have prepared an offer of different models of the “landscape mode” or standing tubs and a sauna in a cubic shape.
In 2012, we equiped our first campsite in Interlaken, Switzerland, and we upgraded it in 2013. Simultaneously with the developement of glamping equipment, we worked on mobile garden units with a similar construction. The bungalow, garden sheds, a kiosk or garage – they are all delivered using a car lift or lorry fully assembled and ready to use.
The result of everything we have learned is a renewed range of glamping equipment that can be seen on this website. We believe we are a team that is capable of building easier or more demanding glamping projects, from the idea to its documentation and the complete realization of the wooden work that can be totally customized: bungalows, hot tubs, saunas, toilets, garden furniture, wooden terraces, pergolas, fences, raised garden beds, wooden facades and other works.
